Duesenberg Modle A

This slideshow shows some of the paces I took while making this one. You would think with all its flat panels and streight lines it would be reletivly easy to make this vehicle. But there are curves, they just are not as obvious as a Maserati's. It took several tries to get the overall shape correct, using again referance images that were far from perfect square on shots, there are lots to imagine to fill in the blanks. Not to mention, the chances of finding 2 of these Duesenberg Modle A with the same modifications or even un-modified is impossible.   I think it will turn out pretty well. At this point I decided an exact replica will be downgraded to a reasonable duplication. There are just no references i can use to make a copy. I have to imagine just about every part based on references of other models of this car.  I have been entertaing the idea of making it look like its been in a field for the past 100 years. Rusted, pitted and wasting away. We'll see ;)

This is the begining of the material phase. Infact like one of 15 stages of materials. This is showing the effects of using dirty virtex paint. It helps show the grundgy areas of your mesh.

These show deciding on the colors for the clean version of the car. Brown and tan seems ok.

These are images of setting up the rust for the Country road. Also shows how things were mis-shaped and deformed for that scene. A few lattices do the trick ;)
