VW Bug, but modified.
This project I neglected to mention. In fact I almost forgot it completely. One day I was sifting my files and there it was. I made it for no reason but it is cool dont you think?

Showing other changes someone could probably do to this car.
Showing the slimmed down lines
I made it a little bit lower, brought the trunk and fenders together a bit more, raised the edge of the compartment just a tad to make it look slimmer, and a few other things. If someone did these things in reality, it would probably have a custom paint job. But this is a classic, and of all the custom bugs, I love the one's that are modded, but still relate to their original appeal/style of the times it was made in.
Six neon lit amps, with two speakers that you can see. VW bugs did not have stereo's in their dashes, there was instead, a vent that was part of the defrost "system." But two 15" subwoofers will bring it in to the future, and blow the roof off.
Some 15's and enough juice to vibrate the International Space Station.
Chrome roll bars and other chrome stuff to trim it out.

Showing how I modified the car's shape a bit.
This is a screen shot of Blender's render preview. This, of course, is the famous VW symbol.

Use mouse to grab and rotate with left mouse button. Middle wheel to zoom in and out. Hold D to move it around
See how I changed the shape just a bit. The best body modifications are usually just small details that have been finished off. Like shaving off door handles and locks, filling in body panel gaps, or even fitting the chrome details on all the way.
A few screen shots of it in Blender. These are mostly showing off my modeling errors. Pratice makes perfect.
setting up camera with an empty as its target.
light box, well, circle-provides some reflections and simple light. Not going too hard at light right now. Not looking for anything complex.
the tires are mesh but simple. And still heavy on vertices. I will be making a displacement map I think, they weigh in at a mere 10k...jeez ;)
